Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you may and may not do when using lucr.at. This AUP applies to all users, including free, paid, and API customers.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use lucr.at to create, share, or redirect to content that:
- Phishes, scams, or impersonates others
- Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or exploits
- Promotes hate, violence, self-harm, or extremist activity
- Contains pornography, explicit sexual content, or exploitation
- Violates copyright, trademarks, or IP rights
- Harasses, bullies, or threatens individuals
- Promotes illegal activity, drugs, weapons, or fraud
- Contains sensitive personal information without consent
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Use lucr.at for spam, mass messaging, or unsolicited advertising
- Redirect to another link shortener to hide your destination
- Automate or scrape our service without permission
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or security protections
- Reverse-engineer, clone, or replicate the platform
- Resell or lease access to the Services
- Create misleading or deceptive link slugs
- Use our domains for high-risk, high-volume, or abusive traffic patterns
3. Fair Use Limits
All plans (including free tiers) are subject to fair-use limits to protect platform stability. Excessive redirects, automated traffic, or unusually high API volumes may result in throttling, suspension, or account review.
4. Security
You must not attempt to access accounts, servers, or data that do not belong to you. You must immediately notify us if you discover any security issues or unauthorized access involving your account.
5. Enforcement
We may remove content, suspend access, block links, or terminate accounts that violate this AUP. We may also report illegal activity to law enforcement when required.
6. Changes to This AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated policy.
